National Night Out Events Bring Communities Together

Every year on August 1, National Night Out events are held all over the country. The events are hosted to offer a positive space for law enforcement and the community to build relationships and encourage safety.  Neighborhoods host many kinds of community building events.

Former Vice President Joe Biden described National Night Out as “… a chance to bring neighborhoods together with the men and women who protect them.” He continued, “The safety of our communities depends on both law enforcement and the neighbors they serve. National Night Out enhances that cooperation.”

The National Night Out website estimates that 16,000 communities have participated in this event in the 34 years that it has been occurring.

This year, Guardian is participating in a National Night Out event in Mt. Pleasant, PA alongside Armstrong, the area cable provider and Guardian’s parent company. The event will have music, food and activities for kids. Guardian and Armstrong Cable appreciate the opportunity to get to know people in the communities we help protect and serve.

If you’re free tonight, see if your community is having a National Night Out event. You’ll have the opportunity to have a fun night and start building a closer and safer community.
